Developed by Microsoft, ActiveX allows you to use certain application in a web browser that you normally would not see online. For example, with an updated version of ActiveX, you can use online forms of Excel and Word, but if you’re hoping to use the rich media available through ActiveX, you’re going to need to keep your ActiveX Flash Player updated and installed correctly.

Install ActiveX Flash Player in Explorer

The first is to visit a site that requires Flash Player, like Youtube, and try to watch a video. The videos won’t play correctly and you’ll be instructed to download ActiveX Flash Player in order to use the site correctly. Simply follow the instructions on the screen to download the program and install it. The installation process should be just a matter of minutes before you’re ready to use the program.

A more direct method of obtaining ActiveX Flash Player is to download it directly from the Adobe website. Visit this page of the Adobe website to see all of the available ActiveX downloads.
