Get HP Printer Drivers
Why does it seem like printers don’t work more often than they do? HP is the largest line of printers and with so many updates and products you can expect to need some updates from time to time. Your printer drivers are the connections that “talk” between your printer and your computer. If yours aren’t working any longer, you’ll need to update.
Find Your HP Printer Driver
Your first step is to find the right printer driver to download onto your computer. You’ll do this on the HP website. HP makes all of the printers available from this page of their website.
You can work through the menu of choices to narrow down your printer selection or use the handy shortcut in the gray box off to the side. Simply type in as much as you know about your printer – you can find the name or number on the printer itself. With even an ounce of luck and correct spelling, you should be taken to the corresponding page immediately.
Once you’ve navigated or searched your way to the page designated for your printer, you’ll have the option to download the necessary software or drivers.
Select this option and narrow down your printer options further as necessary.
Select the operating system you’re using and you’ll then have the option to download the necessary software and drivers.
To download the driver, select Download from the Driver menu.
The download will begin and you’ll save the driver onto your machine to use in updating.
Updating Your Driver
To install the new driver which will update the previous one, you’ll find your download and open it to begin the install.
Click on Start and then your Name on the top right or the more generic Owner or User if your name it not there.
Once you’ve opened the User folder, select Downloads.

The driver you installed should be inside the Downloads folder.
Double click on the driver and it should begin installing immediately or give you the option to begin an install.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the install and your driver update will be complete!
