PostHeaderIcon Fix iTunes Error -042110

To say iTunes is a pretty handy program is an understatement.  It's pretty much the world's most used media player, and it doesn’t seem to mess up on a grand scale, but when there are blips and problems with iTunes, they seem to be insidiously annoying. Case in point: iTunes Error -42110.

You start iTunes. You wait for it to load. And it pops up an error message.

Even if you x-out of the error, it just keeps coming back every time you start iTunes.  At the heart of the problem is a permissions error.  Either through a conflict glitch or through a wonky update, iTunes disassociated all of the user account permissions it needs to confidently link purchases to accounts.  It’s annoying, yes, but it’s also the sort of problem that’s relatively easy to tackle.

PostHeaderIcon Fix iTunes Error 3194

PostDateIconWednesday, 10 April 2013 19:49 | PostAuthorIconWritten by Rebecca | PDF | Print | E-mail

If there’s one thing you should be able to depend on, it’s your music and media files. But errors are prone to happen everywhere, and sometimes there’s just not a thing you can do but take a deep breath and find a solution. This is exactly the case with iTunes error 3194.

Unlike some other iTunes errors that may be caused by corrupted files, you had absolutely nothing to do with error 3194. iTunes error 3194 is caused by the way that iTunes itself actually registers certain files. It may have to do with unsigned firmware. Firmware is built-in behavioral software, native to a given device or - in this case - to the iTunes program.  It can also be caused when iTunes isn’t able to confirm a restore file with the Apple servers. Regardless, there is a straightforward solution to the problem.

Dealing with Error 3194

Firstly, do you actually have this error? You’ll know you’re dealing with iTunes error 3194 when your device and iTunes tells you so.

PostHeaderIcon My Streaming Media Won't Play. Fix Error 8151 and other Video Errors

PostDateIconThursday, 25 October 2012 18:57 | PostAuthorIconWritten by Rebecca | PDF | Print | E-mail

Why is it that sometimes the systems we count on to make life easier just seem to be making things more difficult? For example, when you settle down to watch a movie or an episode from your favorite television show only to discover that streaming media won’t play from the site you regularly use. Instead of watching shows, you’re staring at an error message about expired digital rights management.

The Deal with Digital Rights Management

Digital rights management (DRM) is software or coding incorporated into your streaming media websites to prevent unauthorized copying or sharing of copyrighted materials like movies or television shows. If the computer decides there is something wrong with your DRM, it simply won’t play anymore.

Before you panic, however, know that the problem with your streaming media is almost certainly not something you did – unless you’re trying to pirate movies, of course. For the vast majority of users, getting a digital rights management error simply means something has been changed in the settings for your player and you need to get it toggled back correctly.
