Optimize Windows Services

Optimize Windows Services with a Free Cleaning Tool
Computers can be a messy business. Those slim cases that hold the power of the internet and software also can get cluttered and create a maelstrom when you’re trying to get things done efficiently. Microsoft has many different elements that can work to simplify and update your computer, but they can be hard to use as they tend to be scattered across different platforms and programs. SlimWare Utilities has tried to simplify the clean-up of your computer by releasing a new application: SlimComputer
About SlimComputer
SlimWare Utilties is a Microsoft Certified Partner, and it develops products to enhance your experiences with Microsoft Windows. SlimComputer is no different. SlimComputer has been released in Beta form, and it is one of three new free releases by SlimWare available to you. To download SlimComputer, visit the SlimWare product page.

As you’ll see next to the download link for SlimComputer, the program uses feedback from other users in a crowd-sourced approach. This means, the program learns from other users and then makes recommendations to you about the best ways to improve your computer. SlimComputer works on any Windows machine to improve performance, but it is especially nice on a new computer.
Trying SlimComputer
When I downloaded the Beta addition of SlimComputer onto my relatively-new machine, a small box appeared on the screen (after install, which was painless) and prompted me to scan my machine.

When I ran the scan, it checked for all the useless clutter that comes with new machines. I have a considerably older laptop in the living room, and when I run this program on there, I’m sure it will find the same junk on the machine that was there the day I took it out of the box. As SlimComputer ran, it identified all of the extraneous clutter on the machine that slows me down and causes problem. It then gave me the option to uninstall or delete the programs that I didn’t need. Since I only flagged two programs, I uninstalled one and didn’t notice a huge speed increase, but it feels nice to declutter at least.
SlimComputer Tools
Looking through the choices available in the software, I also easily checked for any necessary updates for my system though Windows Tools (there weren’t any) and optimized my machine by eliminating one of my start-up options for a messenger service I don’t use in Optimizer. It was very straightforward and wasn’t especially scary to eliminate something because the program essentially tells me what I should keep and what’s optional. This particular messenger service in question was optional.

The biggest advantage of SlimComputer, outside of its bright, pretty colors, is the condensed nature of the program. One small box on the screen lets me take care of business. While it doesn’t scan for viruses or the like, it will let me know when there’s something wasting space and power and does the hard work or removing that junk for me. It also lets me manage all of my updates and necessary downloads. Overall, this blogger is suitably impressed and in my quest for life simplification, I rank SlimCleaner up there with the new Scotch tape dispensers – very handy indeed.
